BTS: Jin will release his solo album in the second half of 2024

Jin, a member of the famous group BTS, will release his solo album in the second half of 2024. On Thursday, June 13, Newsis, a South Korean media outlet, reported that the eldest of the septet plans to release his highly anticipated album this year, after completed his 18 months of mandatory service on June 12.

In 2022, before his mandatory enlistment, Jin had already released his first solo digital single titled "The Astronaut". This song, co-written with the famous British group Coldplay, was performed by Jin and Coldplay during their concert in Buenos Aires on October 28, 2022.

Among the BTS members, Jin is the only one who has yet to release a solo album, sparking great anticipation among fans who are eagerly awaiting his new music. Newsis also predicts that Jin's future album could enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200, a very prestigious international music chart.

Jin would join RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, all of whom have already reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 with their solo projects, setting a significant record for the group.

On May 26, 2016, BTS released the album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever", a compilation of the albums "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1" and "Pt. 2", respectively released on April 29 2015 and November 30, 2015. This album, also known by its Korean name HwaYangYeonHwa (화양연화), is very popular among ARMYs (the BTS fandom) in South Korea and internationally, and played a crucial role in the global K-pop success.

According to the Newsis report, BIGHIT MUSIC's group is planning to release an album to celebrate the 10th anniversary of "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" in 2025. However, their management agency has not yet confirmed this information.

In 2022, BTS released their debut anthology album “Proof” on June 10, ahead of their ninth anniversary. This album included three discs with new songs and a compilation of their greatest hits. “Yet to Come” was the title track, while “Run BTS” was the final track added to the album. “Proof” also featured the group’s signature tracks such as “I Need U,” “DNA,” “Fake Love,” “Blood, Sweat & Tears,” “Boy With Luv,” “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and more. others.

Currently, six members of the group are on mandatory duty. Jin, recently released from national obligations, celebrated FESTA 2024 on June 13, 2024, marking the group's 11th anniversary.

At this event at the Jamsil Sports Field Complex, Jin met 1 lucky fans, selected through a random drawing system, during the first session at 000 p.m. KST. He greeted them with light hugs and handshakes. The second session, scheduled for 15 p.m. KST, will include various performances and will be streamed live on the Weverse app for official fan club members.
